EM Business Awards Winners 2004

A prestigious event to recognise and reward the achievements of ethnic minority businesses within Rochdale was held on 17th September 2004 at Rochdale Town Hall. The most remarkable, inspirational, and successful businesses in various fields were awarded at a gala dinner. Business awards were presented to ethnic minority individuals who have excelled in their outstanding work to serve the community.

An Independent panel was selected to judge the awards - Natwest Bank, Business Link North Manchester, Rochdale Borough Partnership and Celltek.

"We felt that Rochdale businesses needed recognition for their hard work. The standard of applications were outstanding. We received them from diverse backgrounds from retailers, service and distribution etc, and most of these businesses have had challenging times in setting up their businesses due to family pressure to succeed.

The evening was met with great enthusiasm and the turnout was fantastic. It was a night to remember within the ethnic minority business community and many are looking forward to it next year."
