Rochdale Town Hall was packed with exhibitors representing both the business support community and local businesses. The exhibition had been well publicised and attendance was high, with all exhibitors reporting keen interest and good contacts. Business support exhibitors included Lloyds/TSB, Molesworth Bright Clegg Solicitors, TBV Business Services and NatWest. Kingsway promoted the development at Junction 21 and the business and employment opportunities this will represent locally and Bramall Construction highlighted their policy of recruiting and training local people and achieving a community representative workforce. "We are proud to be a part of the EM Rochdale exhibition", commented Malcolm Hall of LloydsTSB. "From our point of view, it has given us a unique chance to meet with other exhibitors, to increase the profile of LloydsTSB Bank as part of the Rochdale community and to promote our services. The day was a success on all three counts and we are already looking forward to the event next year".
Local companies exhibiting also reported brisk business. "We have taken several orders today, including one for a large party. We have also given out several hundred menus and have succeeded in raising the profile of our new enterprise", said Samar Mushtaq of Sahara Grill on Yorkshire Street.
