A professional driving school that teaches you to become an approved driving instructor. 12 local people from various backgrounds are now able to fulfil their dreams off become a driving instructor with the aid of funding. EMBS were able to secure 50% funding form Rochdale Borough Economic Partnership and NRF Community Programme. As the business was expanding Drive UK required guidance and assistance to market and promote their business within the Greater Manchester Area. Embs have managed the project on behalf of Drive UK, which has also involved Delivering an awareness seminar for people who were interested in setting up their own business as driving instructors. The business won the EM Rochdale Awards - New Start Up business of the Year Award 2004

Shine Health and Beauty Clinic

A new beauty salon opened its doors to the public on Saturday 12th Novemeber 2005. Having worked in different beauty salons Beautician Shahin Mahmood decided to set up her own salon in the heart of Deeplish, on Milkstone Road. The salon is decorated to a high standard. The Health and Beauty clinic offers personalised health and beauty treatments for women in a relaxing environment. Treatments include massage. Aromatherapy, advanced facials, manicure and pedicures, nail art, hair removal, make up and facial and Body Electrotherapy. Shahin has also introduced the Bio energizer DTOX spa into her salon a treatment which helps to rebalance the system and to give a feeling of well being. Shahin is renown for her henna designs in the community and is always inundated with bookings from brides to be for her stylish bespoke designs. Shahin has worked very closely with EMBS Rochdale to develop her business idea into a reality. EMBS Advisors helped Shahin with marketing, networking, funding, business workshops and counselling.

Moda UK

If you are looking for a pair of fashionable shoes and a sparkling handbag to give your outfit that wow factor, then look no further than Moda UK. Based on Drake Street the business opened its doors to the public in the summer of 2005. Former Rochdale MP Lorna Fitzsimmons did the honour of opening the shop. Having set up a fashion business a couple of years ago out of Rochdale and given that there were no trendy shoe retailers in Rochdale, Assma saw an opportunity to enter the footwear market. She also noticed that many women were travelling to Manchester to buy fashionable shoes. Moda UK caters for all tastes and has a fantastic range of party or wedding footwear, as well as casual shoes, sandals, wedges and boots. Moda UK is stockists of London Rebel, Wilfords, Giselle, Blu Shu, City shoes, Bisma, Unze by Shalimar and many more. Bags and jewellery are incredibly important accessories now and Modas range is up to date with current trends. With new lines arriving regularly, competitive prices, a stylish decor and excellent customer service skills, Footwear by Moda UK is a fashion haven for any shoe lover. Assma received invaluable business advice from EMBS Rochdale to start the business ranging from business planning to marketing.

RAM Clearances

Robert Andrew decided to joined the Business In Mind Project to help him set up his business in house clearances.

Since trading the business has flourished and has lead him to set up another business Sugar Rays Funiture Emporium, a retail shop selling all types of furniture from second hand to brand new. Robert received assistance with his business plan, cash flow, accessing funding, marketing and networking. Robert attended various workshops to help him with his business.

Ismat Shanaz

After graduating Ismat Shanaz, a fashion student from Salford University, wanted to create an internationally recognised fashion label. Ismat's collections are inspired by history and are very unique. The talented graduate's work was recognised by George (ASDA) who have supported her collection along with EMBS.

EMBS Advisors have:

Kebabish Original

EMBS helped Imtiaz Ahmed of Kebabish Original, based on Yorkshire Street, with the business's cash flow, marketing, and planning permission application. A Food and Hygiene course was organised for Imtiaz and his team. For convenience the course took place at their premises.

SMW Tiles

Septimus Williams decided to turn his love for tiling into a full time business as he noticed there was a lot of unqualified tillers in the market. Septimus approached Business in Mind to help him achieve his goals via writing a business plan, accessing tunding, attending business workshops and marketing.
